Online shopping is quick and easy. You surf, you look about, and often with a few clicks of your mouse you can purchase what you have been looking for. It doesn’t replace shopping in real life though. Here are some factors that make shopping in the real world a better idea:
You can’t try anything on online. No matter how cute it looks on the website, you have no idea how it is going to look once it is in your house and on your person.
Even if you look at lots of pictures of the thing, or see it in videos, you don’t get a really good idea of what it is going to look like in person. The texture of the thing, the weight of fabric and so on, are all things you have to experience in person.
You have to wait for your item. Sure, when you buy online there’s often a free or inexpensive shipping option. It’s rarely a fast option though. Unless you want to wait five business days or longer to get your purchase, you’re better off shopping in a store.
Five business days is actually pretty long. If you order on a Wednesday, then you will be waiting often until the following Wednesday or so to get your item, because the order may not go in until the next day, and then Saturday and Sunday don’t count. Contrast this with paying for your order in a store and then walking out with it in hand and bringing it home with you.
This is the major advantage to shopping in person. It may be more of a hassle to go out shopping than it is to surf and click at home, but the inconvenience is outweighed by bringing your purchase home that same day.
The pain of returns. When you buy online, you are taking a gamble. If you turn out to not like your new purchase and you want to send it back, it can be a real pain.
Often you have to get a return number to be able to send it back. You’ll have to call the company to get this number. Then you need to repackage the item for shipping. If the original package is damaged this is even harder - and if it was originally shipped in pieces and you assembled it, this can mean you will now have to take it back apart. Big, bulky items are also very tricky - and expensive - to package and ship.
Then you have to get your package to a post office or FedEx, or arrange for it to be picked up by a shipper. Either way, this is going to burn more of your time.

Since the development of the Internet many things that were pretty hard to obtain or to do, like information on a large variety of topics or communication with distant friends have become so simple that anyone can have access to them just by using a computer.
Among the many advantages that the Internet gives us, one of the main ones is online shopping, an activity that many have become addicted to. Shopping is a necessity for all of us, some of us really enjoy it, and others try to keep it as simple and short as possible. Well, online shopping is the best solution for both those who consider it a chore that they try to avoid and for those who do it on a daily basis.
The main advantage of online shopping is that it allows people to browse through many items and categories without leaving their house, to compare the prices of as many shops as they want, and also to order as many items as they can afford without having to worry about how they will transport them, because the online shopping websites also deliver the things to the buyer’s home. Furthermore, the Internet is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so you don’t have to hurry or worry about finding a parking spot.
If you plan on shopping from the Internet then first use a search engine to find online shops. If you want fast deliveries and low shipping fees then try to search for the shops that are in your country. You can use a shopping directory that contains categorized links to stores from a specific region or from all over the world, together with reviews from other customers. If you live in a big country you’ll be surprised to find out that there are thousands of online shops available where you live, and these shops sell everything that can be sold, from baby products to dog houses and motor oil.
Most of the online shopping websites have the same pattern, first you choose the category under which your item is listed, and then you can select the item that you’re looking for, and add it to your shopping cart. If you want to buy other items, you click the “add to cart” button near them, and when you’re finished you check out. After that you can see a list with everything that you’ve ordered, and the total amount that has to be paid. You can also remove items from your shopping cart if you desire to do so. Payment is usually done by credit card. The buyer enters the data on the credit card and the shop charges the price and then delivers the items to the buyer’s house in a few days. The transaction is perfectly safe and the credit card data you send is encrypted so it can’t be stolen.
Remember to always compare the prices, check for discounts, search for the lowest shipping taxes and make sure that what you’ve found can’t be found cheaper anywhere else.
After you’ve done some online shopping you’ll see how easy it is and you’ll quickly get used to it. Soon you will know what the best shopping websites are and you will be able to buy the things you need very easy and fast, saving a lot of time and trouble. Online shopping is the most practical, economical and fun method of shopping, that is perfect for everyone.

Interestingly while I understand the benefits of online shopping I had a real epiphany moment the other day. I went to purchase nappies for my 7 month old and wanted to get them from a great warehouse discount place (we are going through a lot of nappies at the moment). Their delivery fee was $7 so I thought that I would go out there and save the $7, only to realise on the drive there that I had now spent way more than I was saving getting there!
As I was driving out there I started to think about the cost-value equation.
To get nappies from this discounted I save around 10 cents per nappy (Huggies) and then I buy a pack of 3 Huggies 240’s wipes and the price is the same as paying for 2 and getting one free (about $16) with most other retailers, so the savings are worthwhile. There is a delivery fee however of $7 and this really put me off getting the products delivered! It was a real sticking point!
So I got both children ready and in the car, drove the half hour to get to the discount warehouse, spent 5 minutes in the warehouse and then drove the 30 minutes back home! Crazy right?!
On the drive however I started to analyse the value equation and kept thinking - I’m Mad! Here I am trying not to spend the $7 because I think it negates the point of buying discounted nappies, when I suddenly realised how much I was spending by driving to get the nappies. Not only was I using up a lot of petrol by driving for 1hour - 45 kilometres in total, equating to the value of around $30 (worked out at 0.70c per km). I was also wasting valuable time of mine (1.5 hours) (which really is at a premium) that I could’ve spent with the children doing something fun!
And the more I thought about it, the crankier I was with myself! The last two times we have bought nappies while at the shop I have had to go to at least two different stores to get the right sized nappy. Then I have to figure out how to get these big boxes back to the car with two children…. And yet I could’ve simply placed an order over the Internet and spent $7 to avoid all of this and perhaps spent the time at the park or in the garden…
Never again will I moan over a reasonable delivery fee when I consider its value to my petrol, time and how carefree it makes my life.

Looking to beat the crowds (and prices) that are currently allotted by traditional stores, many people have headed to the internet to make their air bed purchase. While this is a perfectly understandable notion, it is important that consumers are informed of the precautions they should take while shopping online.
First and foremost, air bed shoppers need to be sure they’re purchasing from a reputable vendor. Many have been stung (sometimes severely) from not sticking to this rule. While you may be forking over a few more bucks buying from a reputable online vendor, it’s truly worth the piece of mind. We recommend checking out Amazon, Target, or QVC. If you unsure about a particular vendor, we suggest heading over to the Better Business Bureau for more information.
Second, online shoppers should conduct adequate research on the bed they plan to purchase before inputting any sort of credit card number. Don’t stick to the description and review(s) available on the vendor’s site. These might be biased and thus inaccurate. Once you’ve got a good overall idea on the product, then you can go ahead and either purchase it or scour the net for a new one.
Finally, you should check to see what the final price will come out to. Remember, when your purchase things online, you have to factor in shipping costs. Although air beds aren’t very heavy, they can rack up a noticeable shipping bill. Analyze the final cost and see how it compares to the price at a retail store.
We wish those looking to purchase their air beds online the best of luck! If you exercise good judgment, chances are good that your online shopping experience will be pleasant.

Everyone needs a little extra cash during the Christmas shopping season. If you have bad credit, it may be difficult to find a funding source that will allow you to borrow what you need to buy gifts and other things for the holidays. There are online lenders, however, that specialize in loaning money to those with less than perfect credits to make your holidays more joyful.
Do you (or your kids) have a Christmas list that even Santa Clause himself would have trouble fulfilling? Does your bad credit history disqualify you from borrowing the money to make this year the kind of Christmas season that you have always dreamed of for your family and yourself? If so, why not apply for an online bad credit loan for the holiday shopping season?
Online Loans for Less-Than-Joyous Credit
The online bad credit loan is a loan you can use for any reason this season - including gifts for one and all; trimmings for the tree, house, or yard; entertaining your loved ones; tickets to holiday concerts or events; as well as all the ingredients for the perfect Christmas dinner. You might also wish to borrow money to make the sojourn back home to be with loved ones far away or to plan your perfect holiday getaway to somewhere sunny or tropical. Whatever your needs, the bad credit loan for the holidays can help you make the season brighter.
To apply for a bad credit loan, visit your chosen lender’s website. There you will find a link that takes you to a secure application that you can complete in minutes. You will be asked standard questions regarding your employment and income, as well as questions that will help your lender determine the rates, terms, and conditions for your bad credit loan.
Cosigner Increases Approval Rate
Although these online lenders tend to have more lenient credit requirements than a traditional lender may have, you can make your application appear more approvable by retaining a cosigner. The cosigner for your bad credit loan should have a better credit score than you; they should be willing to agree to repay the loan should you default.
If you do not know anyone who is willing to sign with you, you might want to consider offering up collateral for your bad credit loan. Collateral is usually an automobile or piece of property or home. To qualify an item as collateral, you will need to present the title or deed to the property or automobile to the lender. They will place a lien on the property or automobile to secure your bad credit loan. Once you have repaid, the lender will remove the lien.
Loans For Any Amount
You can ask for as much as you need on your bad credit loan application. A good rule of thumb is to ask for no more than you can repay in one year. By only borrowing the money for this year’s expenses during the holidays, you can easily have the amount paid off in time to take out another loan next holiday season. By paying the bad credit loan off as agreed with timely payments that are never late, you will also improve your credit score to qualify easily for a better interest rate next Christmas.

Hot days draw people outside. There is gardening to be done, lawns to be mowed, cars to be washed and then there are many other distractions to take you away from your computer. Its now much easier to visit the local malls, go shopping with the family, take a swim, sunb ake, go to the theater, take in a movie and so on.

Many times we do things just because that is the way we have always done them. People used to always carry change in case they needed to make a phone call. You would always have a land line. There was always a road map or atlas in the glove compartment of your car. Movie theaters are the only place to watch quality movies. People will never have a need for a computer in the home. These statements were considered to be true and unchanging. They are however no longer statements of unchanging fact. Just like no one buys online. Times are changing and online shopping versus traditional brick and mortar shopping should be reviewed. Is there still a distinct advantage held by the brick and mortar stores or is the gap closing?
Let’s look the things that you should consider when deciding between an online and traditional brick and mortar store. The main things most people think about are pricing, selection, convenience, delivery, warranty, returns and security. These are the factors that have been listed by consumers as the most important influencing their shopping decisions.
In today’s shopping environment, price is very important. Many people have lost their jobs or have had their hours reduced. Household budgets are much lower than they were 1 or 2 years ago. This means that buyers are looking for deals. Online stores are able to offer lower prices as a result of lower overhead. Traditional retail outlets have costs for display space, sales personnel and the cost of maintaining the retail location. Things like utilities on the physical location are a constant drain on profits. They have to collect enough in the busy times to compensate for the eventual slow times. The prices are also increased because of the cost of moving the goods from the manufacturer to a regional locations and then to the final store. There is also shrinkage from theft. These are issues that the online store either does not have to deal with or the impact is reduced. This means that 99 times out of 100 the online store can offer a lower price.
Selection is another topic to be aware of. Selection has an area of weakness for online stores in the past. Online stores tended to specialize. This meant that they were not like a traditional big box store with plenty options to choose from. They usually leaned towards hard to find items. Since they were appealing to a national market, they had a better chance to move these slow sellers. Today that has started to change. There are many big box stores online with millions or items to choose from. The online retailer is now able to compete in both the wide variety and hard to find markets. This gives the online store a distinct advantage.
The biggest advantage the brick and mortar stores have had over online stores has been convenience. If you want to purchase something today the brick and mortar store has the best chance of making that happen. This means that if you are procrastinator you are going to use the traditional retail outlet. The traditional store allows you to actually touch and handle the item. They may even have a person who is knowledgeable and able to help. They are only open certain times of the day for the most part. The flip side to that coin is that if you can plan ahead, it is much more convenient to stay in your home in your pajamas and make your purchases. You are also saving the cost of gasoline and time. Sales tax usually doesn’t come into play when you shop from home. Online stores usually provide a detailed description and picture of the item. The online store is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. They are available when you decide to shop.
Delivery from a brick and mortar store is usually available for a cost. Most online stores offer discounted rates or even free shipping. The only way to determine this is research. You have to go online and do your homework. This is a contributing factor to cost and really is on a case by case basis.
Online warranties are a lot like brick and mortar warranties. Some offer extended or additional warranties and others do not. Service after the sale is the same. Make sure you know what the arrangement is with the store you are dealing with.
Returns are usually allowed by both types of stores. Policies vary from retailer to retailer. Online stores are going to require you repackage the item and ship it. Shipping and restocking fees should be determined. These usually are not the case if the item was defective. The best policy is to notify the seller as soon as you are aware of a problem. The same is the case for a brick and mortar store. Make sure you did not buy an item marked “all sales or final” or “as is”. These types of items will not allow returns.
For many years, security was a major concern when dealing with online stores. People were concerned that their information would be stolen. This is no longer the case. Make sure you are dealing with a reputable online or traditional retailer. Both can have security problems, if they are operating low budget or disreputable type operations.
The conclusion is that anytime but especially in today’s world the online retailer is a viable option. The days of brick and mortar stores dominating the market are dwindling if not gone. There are more cases than not where the online retailer holds the advantage over the traditional retailer.
